My Journey To Becoming A Coach

I always thought I would be an engineer or be in some "hard" science career. After some trial and error, including earning a bachelors in mathematics, I found that what is truly important to me in my work is being able to directly help people and programs. Bonus points if the work itself aims at treating root causes and encourages people to be themselves.

So, I earned a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and started work as a therapist for adults and adolescents ranging from residential to outpatient therapy. As I grew as a therapist, I appreciated the impact therapy could have on my clients. As I grew as a person, I realized I wanted to help people without the limitations of medical models and diagnosis focused work. Instead I needed to step into my role as coach to be in alignment with my values.

Helping People Lets Me Be Who I Truly Am

Being a coach is a privilege. I love helping people discover what they want in life and empowering them to realize their dreams and watching them transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a coach is getting to support someone else through their growth. I am committed to helping you make progress towards your goals.

I Have A Real Interest In Helping Others And Bring Curiosity And Acceptance To Sessions

I have a natural ability to:

  • Reflect people’s thoughts back to them

  • Help people feel comfortable, while also challenging them to grow

  • Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them

  • Be flexible on the path of discovering what’s going on

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people feel heard and understood which helps people feel seen and thrive.
